This twinplex has especially been developed for newer Pentium 4 systems, socket 478. It is used when the chipset cooler on the board is mounted via small metal eyes. For this purpose it has special stainless steel brackets (not pictured) which fasten the twinplex safely via springs (stainless steel). This twinplex can't be retooled.
With the new revision the contact pressure of the cooler can be adjusted in 3 steps.
ATTENTION: For nearly every Intel chipset the twinplex CP4- type 1 is needed. Solely for old 850 boards the type 2 is needed. For NForce 1 chipsets type 1 is also needed. For NForce 2 boards the twinplex for "chipsets" (above) is needed. Recently many mainboard producers have equipped their boards with 4 mounting brackets. For these mainboards the twinplex CP4- type 3 may be used. It uses all of the 4 mounting brackets and consequently offers a safer fit and the danger of canting the cooler is reduced. Please chose the plate "Gigabyte" with the twinplex rev. 1.2 for Intel chipsets on Gigabyte-boards (e.g. Granite Bay). For the voltage regulators of Gigabyte-boards a twinplex with the graphics card plate can be used. Type 1 or type 3 are needed for ASUS and ABIT boards with P4, as well as for MSI.
