Thermalright HR-01 High Riser CPU Cooler with Ducting
Thermalright’s “High Riser” product range is a very simple but effective concept. When space is a premium close to the base then building up is the only solution. This is the basis behind all of Thermalright HR products.
The HR-01 is the first in the series of High Riser coolers. Designed to fit any AMD S754, 929, AM2 and Intel LGA775 (with LGA775 kit) motherboard, the HR-01 is an excellent cooler for any CPU currently available.
The heatsink is not supplied with any 120mm fan and in fact what makes this product unique is that it is supplied with a ducting system that connects the heatsink to a 120mm exhaust fan. This means that any heat generate by the CPU is transferred directly out of the system. This reduces the internal temperature inside the system which prolongs component life and increases system stability.
If the exhaust fan is in a strange location and not compatible with the ducting or if you want to increase the airflow even further through the heatsink you can because fan clips are provided, allowing for a fan to attach directly to the heatsink.
